WormGuide Equine

Worming a horse the right way!

Horse worm management has entered a new era.

Frequent interval and rotational horse worming methods harm our horses and our properties and no longer form the basis of an acceptable worm control program. So, we do deworming differently to help you take control of a better future for our horses.

Applying science

Applying science

We work with leading parasitologists and animal health experts to help optimise your horse’s worm control program for a happier healthier life. The diagnostic biotechnology that we use is scientifically validated and was developed by MEP Equine Solutions and the University of Kentucky's leading research and diagnostics centre that focusses solely on equine parasitology. It is the same technology used by major equine hospitals, ambulatory veterinary clinics, schools, and research universities around the world

Supporting sustainability

We love our planet as much as our horses and take our eco-footprint very seriously. Our eco-friendly Kit includes recycled, recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable materials to minimise our impact on the environment.

Our pens are made from recycled cardboard with wheat fibre buttons, clip and tip, even our gloves are biodegradable because they are made from the sap of rubber trees!

We ask all stockists to reuse their stock boxes where possible and offer a refill pack restocking option to help reduce waste. Of course, we don’t recycle our Faecal Sample Submission Forms because we are committed to keeping your information secure, but we do print our resources on eco-friendly recycled paper and keep in touch with the latest eco-best technologies.

We are dedicated to achieving better horse health by making precision worm egg count surveillance convenient and by always providing you with high quality service and worm control support. Our versatile ready-to-go Kit has everything included for sanitary sample collection, easy sample mailing, and is also available in horse supply stores and veterinary clinics nationwide. Digital test results and photographic proof of the worm eggs (or absence of eggs) in every sample are emailed straight to your inbox and, if you choose this option, can be sent directly to your vet too.

Reducing chemical use

Precision results don’t save horses' lives. We know that how you use your results matters, so we provide information support and worm control packages to help you make positive changes to your worm control approach. Our free and exclusive 35 page What Do My Results Mean? eBook unpacks evidence based-worm control, provides clarity on results and guides customers through science-based worm control recommendations for each WormGuide product. WormGuide worm control packages help to take the guesswork out of your worm control approach and help to make evidence-based worm control simple and worry-free.

Reducing chemical use

Reducing chemical use

We are committed to reducing the misuse of worming treatments for the long-term health and wellbeing of our horses and equestrian communities around the country. Modern worming programs that use worm egg counts to guide treatment frequency are safer and more reliable than outdated calendar-based worm control methods.

Rotating through chemical classes to deworm all horses every six to twelve weeks leads to over-medication, unnecessary expense and causes the development of harmful dewormer resistance. We are helping horse owners step away from old deworming programs to slow the development rate of resistance and protect our horses and the environment from the overuse of deworming treatment chemicals.
